Angel Beats is an anime that takes place in a high school acting as a temporary place for high school student's souls who died in a horrible or bad life; A place for the souls to sever any attachments from their previous life and begin a new one, so basically accomplishing something you could not accomplish while you were alive. Lets call this place a world. In this world no matter what you cannot die, even if you get sliced into pieces your body will come back together after a while. Surprisingly although you cannot die in this place you still experience the pain of it.
The only way for you to disappear from this world is to do what you always wanted to while you were alive or accept being "erased" by the world itself. There are NPCs within this world that act as role models of what you would do to be "erased" and reincarnated as any living being. This anime starts off with the main character Yuzuru Otonashi waking up in this world and invitied to fight against Angel(Kanade Tachibana) by Yuri Nakamura(also known is Yurippe). Yuri believes that God exists and is giving Angel her commands to "erase" the group formed by Yuri to rebel against God, the SSS.
Otonashi soon discovers that this is not the case with this world and the real meaning of it since the others did not. He also finds out that he was somehow connected to Angel while he was alive. Since the transfusion between the world of the living and this world caused him to lose his memories. When he gets his memories back he then.......... Find out more by watching the anime.( I don't want to spoil anything big.) My thoughts on this anime were that it contained a lot of happy yet sad scenes at the end.( You'll get what I mean when your there.) It also has a lot of fighting scenes for all you people who want them. This is it for the preview on Angel Beats. Remember to check it out sometime! Peace out!
